Bernice Catherine (Ott) Barry, 91, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Mass will be Celebrated at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 555 E. Delaware Ave., Benton Harbor with Fr. John Peter Ambrose officiating. Bernice was born December 28, 1932 in Bridgman, MI at her home to Herman & Augusta (Schultz) Ott. She graduated from Bridgman High School in 1950. On January 23, 1954 she married Patrick “Pat” Barry in Benton Harbor. Bernice worked at Whirlpool Corporation, Benton Harbor Schools and Action Garment Retal. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, sewing, traveling and had a special love for her dogs.
Bernice is survived by her 5 children Diane (Dennis) Beaman of Manistique, MI, Keith Barry of Watervliet, MI, Cheryl (Terry) Hivon of McHenry, IL, Donald (Tammy) Barry of Watervliet, MI and Patrick Barry II of Benton Harbor; 8 grandchildren Brian, Kevin, Brooke (Kevin), Kristin (Rhett), Herman (Tabetha), Keith Jr. (April), Megan (Chris) and Dillon; and 16 great grandchildren.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Alvin and Raymond Ott.
