Betty's Obituary
Betty Lillie, 75, of Dowagiac, passed away on, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Lakeland Hospital in Niles. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel and Cremation Services.
A Celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 12:00PM, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac with Pastor Stacey Wilder officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at South Wayne Cemetery. Following services, the family invites everyone to Tom’s house for a time of food and fellowship, please bring a dish to pass and a chair, meat will be provided. Memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.clarkch.com.
Betty was born July 21, 1946, in Dowagiac to John and Stella (Chalko) Hughes. She graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1964. On March 11, 1966, she married the love of her life, Tom Lillie. Betty worked as a house cleaner for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed the outdoors where she loved humming birds and flowers. Most of all Betty loved her family and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Tom Lillie; daughters, Debbie (Greg) Bankston and Ruth Brewer; grandchildren, Carson Wegner, Michael Wegner and Alexis Brewer; great-grandchildren, Madelynn Wegner and Makena Wegner; and siblings, Patty Bousman, Bernice Stockwell and Tena Hughes.
