Beverly's Obituary
Beverly Ann Darato, 84, of St. Joseph, passed away on Mar. 21, 2026, at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph. Beverly was born Sep. 29, 1941, to Andrew and Lucille Darato in Coloma, Michigan. She lived most of her life in St. Joseph. She went to Maple Grove Center where she learned to sew and cook. She actually made a dress for herself. She was able to work on jobs that businesses contracted for with Maple Grove. Beverly helped her mom in the St. Joseph Catholic School Cafeteria (now Our Lady of the Lake). Beverly also enjoyed knitting.
She is survived by two siblings: Laura Darato and Sharon (Brian) Case of Kent, WA. She has two nieces: Cassandra (Jim) Sprinkle and Belinda (Jimmy) Green and a grand-nephew, Mason Green. Preceding her in death are her parents: Andrew and Lucille Darato; and her sisters, Linda Shoemaker and Katherine Darato and her brother Andrew Darato.

Beverly’s life will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial on Apr. 22nd, 2026, at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., St. Joseph. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Benton Harbor after the church services.
