Beverly's Obituary
Beverly C. Kurzhal, 89, of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday afternoon, November 18, 2023, at Riveridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Niles, MI.
She was born on March 30, 1934, in Mishawaka, IN, the daughter of Dwight and Mary (Hodza) Freshley. On June 14, 1952, Beverly was united in marriage to Arthur R. Kurzhal, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2004. She retired from Allied-Signal Inc. (formerly Bendix Corp.) in Dowagiac following several decades of service until her retirement. Beverly was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Dowagiac.
Surviving are her four children, Deborah Smith, Michael Kurzhal, Scott (Judy) Kurzhal and David (Megan) Kurzhal; six granddaughters; three grandsons; five great-granddaughters and six great-grandsons.
A service to celebrate Beverly’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 405 Center St, Dowagiac, where friends may visit the family from 1:00 PM until the time of services.
