Blenda Kay Mosier, 70, of Dowagiac, went to sleep with the Lord on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at her home in Dowagiac, surrounded by her loving family.
The family will receive guests from 11:30am until the time of celebration of life service at 12pm, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Grace Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 47377 M-51, Decatur. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be given to Grace Apostolic Lighthouse Church at the address above.
Blenda found her greatest joy in life’s simple pleasures—cherishing time with her family, embracing the outdoors, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. A devoted member of her church community, she shared her musical talents by playing the organ, enriching the worship experience for many. She delighted in trips to Goodwill alongside her sister, often followed by a relaxing meal together—moments that became some of her most treasured traditions. Blenda found peace in crocheting, and she never passed up the chance to spend a day fishing with her late husband. Kind and caring by nature, Blenda was especially drawn to the younger people, finding genuine joy in their presence and taking every opportunity to share in their laughter and growth.
Blenda will be missed by her son, David (Jamie) Mosier; her granddaughter, Emily Mosier; her siblings, Neoma Kevitt, Dewayne Stark, Ronnie (Judy) Stark, and Tressa (Jack) Midkiff; and many other extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David Mosier, whom she married on December 13, 1974 in Dowagiac; her siblings, James Stark, Connie Stark, Vedra Moss, E.C. Stark, and Bobby Stark; and her parents.
