Bobby's Obituary
Bobby W. Reed, 81, of Niles, formerly of Dowagiac, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, December 27, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN.
He was born on March 24, 1942, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the son of James and Leatha (Imboden) Reed. On August 25, 1960, he was united in marriage to Linda Denney. Bobby was employed by AEP for 48 years until his retirement.
Surviving are his four children – Shari Reed, Donald Reed, Catherine (David Dewey) Jasper and Dorothy Reed; ten grandchildren – Shawn Zimmerman, Joyce Reed, Justina Reed, Peggy Reed, Darryl (Raina) Roberts, Linda (Michael) Woelk, Robert (Angelleah) Jasper, Randy Whyde Jr, Tiffany Whyde and Deseray (Lance) Law; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister – Veda Finton; brother – Jerry (Mary) Reed; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife of 34 years – Linda Reed on January 9, 1995; infant son – James Reed; and grandson – David Whyde.
Honoring Bobby’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation or services. Private family inurnment will be in Coulter Chapel Cemetery, Niles, MI. Arrangements were entrusted to Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 405 Center St, Dowagiac.
