Brandon's Obituary

Brandon Marshall Roberts Douglas, 31, of Cassopolis, passed away on January 14, 2023. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 12 PM at Grace Apostolic Church, 47377 M 51, Decatur, MI, with Pastor Jack Midkiff officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date at Mission Hills Cemetery in Niles. Friends wishing to visit with the family may do so on Friday, January 27 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. Brandon was born on July 28, 1991, in Berrien Springs to Michael Douglas and Angela Thielmann. He graduated from Dowagiac High School in 2010. For the past almost five years, Brandon was employed with Rev Midwest Automotive in Elkhart. He was very active and loved to play football, basketball, baseball, run track and go fishing. A hobby that Brandon very much enjoyed was flipping items for a profit. Whether it be a motorcycle or a vehicle, he loved enhancing them for a higher sale. Brandon was such a great man, with a wonderful sense of humor and a one-of-a-kind gift of gab. He was a loving son and brother, a dedicated father and true friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Brandon is survived by his father, Michael Douglas; children, Briamani & Brandon Douglas; brother, Michael (Dawn) Douglas; nieces, Madalynn Douglas & Makayla Kirby; great-nephew, Kingston White; aunts & uncles, Jim (Geritta), Joe (Brenda), Mike (Betsy), Debbie (Tim) & Mary Thielmann, Marcia Douglas, Andre (Patricia) Scott, Anthony (Sharon) Douglas and Terry Howard; grandmothers, LaVirda Douglas & Jerrita Thielmann; numerous cousins; godmother, Melanie Green-Buck; and a host of friends that he took in as family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Angela; aunt, Araminta Douglas; and grandfathers, Marshall Douglas & Joseph Thielmann.
