Bud's Obituary

With heavy hearts, the family of Roger “Bud” Eugene Mazigian announces his passing on October 23, 2025. Bud was born in Berrien Springs, Michigan, and lived his life in Coloma surrounded by family and friends who adored him.

Bud was known by everyone for his humble, down-to-earth spirit and the kindness he showed to all. He never saw flaws in anyone — always accepting, always encouraging, and always ready with a story that could make you laugh or wonder how much was true.

Whether he was working as a proud bouncer at the Mexican bar or keeping things running smoothly at McDonald’s, Bud approached everything with a big heart and an easy smile.
He loved spending time at the casino, playing bingo, going to the races, and BMWs. But above all, Bud loved being with his family and friends. He found joy in the simple things and made everyone around him feel valued.

Bud is survived by his parents, Shelley and Roger Mazigian; his siblings Rhonda (Mike) George, Samantha (Shane) Haase, Shyann (Zach) Traylor, and Hunter (Olivia) Mazigian; and his beloved niece and nephews, Oaklynn, Ryker, and Lennox. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him deeply — especially his Aunt Robin Hanner, his lifelong friend, and cousin David Gales, who was like a brother and partner in everything he did.

Welcoming him in heaven with open arms are his grandparents, Peggy Mazigian “Grandma” and Al and Judi “Mere and Pa” Corzine, along with his Uncle Lee Hanner, Aunt Catie Mazigian, and Aunt Jessica Hanner.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 11:00 AM at Midway Baptist Church in Watervliet, Michigan. Visitation will be from 4:30 – 7:00 PM on Monday, October 27 at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Please feel free to share a memory with the family online at www.starks-menchinger.com.
