Carol's Obituary
Carol Sue Palmer, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away at her home on Thursday, April 11, 2024. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 12 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., with Pastor Tom Bird? officiating. A burial will follow at Lincoln Township Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Carol was born on May 26, 1949, in Benton Harbor, to Alonzo & Fannie (Clifft) Palmer. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1967. For many years, Carol worked as an accounts manager for Whirlpool Corp. until her illness made it only possible to work from home. She was known for her intelligence and being a strong independent woman. She loved curling up with her cat, Chili, and reading Stephen King or watching the news.
Carol is survived by her son, Michael Crabtree of St, Joseph; sister, Connie (Mike) Miston of Stevensville; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo & Fannie; and siblings, Peggy & Paul Bishop, Margaret (Tom) Mortensen, Larry Palmer, Jerry Palmer, and Ron Palmer.
