Celia's Obituary
Celia, 46, of Eau Claire, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clark Chapel and Cremation Services.
A Celebration of life gathering will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St. Dowagiac. Memorial contributions in Celia’s name may be made to the family, in care of Annet. Any contributions will be given to the La Mirada De Jesus fund in Mexico. Celia was born October 22, 1975, in Mexico City, Mexico, to Ruben Piedra and Agustina Cortes. She attended school in California. On December 5, 2015, she married Margarito Zamora in St. Joseph. Celia was known for her heart of gold. She was always helping people, Celia would raise money to help low-income families with kids so they could provide food. She started a fund in Mexico that would help provide money to those who need medicine. Celia had a love for plants and loved her job as a gardener at Twixwood Nursery in Berrien Springs. She also enjoyed music, dancing and organizing parties. Most of all she loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Celia is survived by her loving husband, Margarito Zamora; children, Annet Coria-Piedra and Jose Zamora-Piedra; siblings, Abel Piedra-Cortes, Alberto Piedra-Cortes, Ruben Piedra-Cortes, Isidra Ibarra and Beatriz Piedra-Cortes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben Piedra and Agustina Cortes.

Siempre estaba ayudando a la gente, Celia recaudaba dinero para ayudar a las familias de bajos ingresos con hijos para que pudieran proporcionar comida. Comenzó un fondo en México que ayudaría a proporcionar dinero a aquellos que necesitan medicamentos.
