Charles W. “Bill” Baker, 71, of Stevensville, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022.

Bill was born on July 13, 1951, to Albert & Ruby (Holland) Baker in Painesville, OH. After moving to Michigan, he attended Lawton High School. He worked in the automotive industry for many years, most recently owning and operating Baker’s Mobile Repair before retirement. He then would drive “Big Red” the dump truck making deliveries for Murray Landscaping. On September 4, 2004, Bill married the love of his life, Pam.

Bill enjoyed camping, deer hunting, and watching Clint Eastwood movies. He had a passion for riding his motorcycle. He looked forward to traveling south in the RV with his wife during the winter months and helping his grandchildren with projects but his most cherished time was spent with his family.

Bill is survived by his wife Pam Baker; children, Shannon Alsup (David Thorne) of Forestport, NY, Penny Tompkins of Frewsburg, NY, Jennifer (Eric) Remus of Berrien Springs, Amanda (Kevin) Coors of Allegan, and Michael (Jamie) Morrison of Climax, MI; grandchildren, Aaron (Carly) Alsup, Brandon (Angelica) Smedley, Chance Tompkins, Michael Fisk, Dylan Fisk, Logan Coors, Anna Coors, Alyssa Morrison and Blake Morrison; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; 5 sisters and best friend Ken Murray.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at Ken and Marie Murray’s home on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 2pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marie Yaeger Cancer Center, 3900 Hollywood Rd., St. Joseph. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.
