Christine L. Stimson, 77, of Marcellus, formerly of Decatur, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 17, 2021 in Kalamazoo.
Christine’s family will receive guests from 11am until time of celebration of life service at 12pm, Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Newell Chapel, 83133 M-51, Decatur. Burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
Christine was born February 5, 1944 in Chicago to Theodore and Louise Petrasik. In her early career, Christine was a supervisor for Montgomery Ward in their catalog department. After the completion of her associates degree in accounting from Southwest Michigan College, Christine worked for 30 years for W.F. Wells and Sons in Three Rivers. She also owned, along with her former husband, the Decatur Auction (now High’s Marine) for about 10 years. On June 19, 1987 she married Larry Stimson in Cassopolis.
Christine will be missed by her husband, Larry Stimson; her brother, James Petrasik; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
