Clara O. Knapp, 87, of Dowagiac, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, June 4, 2025, at her home.
She was born on October 4, 1937, in Eau Claire, MI, the daughter of the late Alta James and Illene (Hipskin) Merrill. On August 27, 1956, she was united in marriage to Gerald D. Knapp.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Gerald Knapp; son – Jerry Knapp; grandson – Jason Knapp; sister – Irma Bonham; and two brothers – Thomas Merrill and Jack Merrill.
A service to celebrate Clara’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Decatur Bible Church, 80797 M-51, Decatur, MI, where friends may visit with her family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow the funeral luncheon at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were entrusted to Clark Chapel - Starks Family Funeral Homes, Dowagiac.
