Clealand James's Obituary
Clealand James Copeman, 61, of South Haven, passed away on February 1, 2024 at his home. He was
born on June 22, 1962 in Flint, Michigan to the late James Copeman and Linda Sikkema (Hyde).
There are no public funeral services planned at a this time as was Clealand’s request. His family will
have private services. Burial will take place at a later date in Monks Cemetery, Geneva Township.
Clealand married his wife, Stephanie Cullum, on October 10, 2000 at The Congregational Church, South
Haven. Stephanie survives along with 3 children, Hailey Copeman, Connor Copeman, and Brittney
Copeman. Also, 1 Granddaughter, Vivian Johns and surviving are 2 brothers, William Copeman, and
Chad (Billie) Hunt.
Most recently Clealand had worked for South Haven Community Schools as a custodian. Prior to This he
had been at AirGas and Pooch Welding as a plant Supervisor.
He was a dedicated, loving husband and father. In his free time he loved to hunt and fish. His
personality and sense of humor was one of a kind and he always had a funny story to tell.
