Cordell's Obituary

Cordell Reiner, 87, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, at his home.

Cordell was born July 31, 1934, in Colorado Springs, CO to Rado & Elizabeth (Olson) Reiner. On June 11, 1967, he married Patricia Troyer in Lincoln, Nebraska. Cordell work as a Colporteur for the Review and Herald Publishing Company and later became an ordained Seventh day Adventist minister. He served for over 30 years with churches in Ohio, Maryland, New Jersey, Alaska, and Texas. He retired in 2014 from pastoring in the Texas Conference of SDA. He remained active after retirement and enjoyed gardening, mowing lawns as a side business.

Cordell is survived by his daughter Betheny (Sylvannus) Jones; son Kevin (Karen) Reiner; grandchildren Angelique Zimmerman, Christine Zeerip, Dina Zimmerman, Kailee Zimmerman, Elayna McFarland, Kyle Reiner, Kaleb Reiner, Kalyse Reiner and Khenzie Reiner; 7 great grandchildren; and sister Donna Henderson. Cordell was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia Ann (Troyer) Reiner, son Michael Reiner, and daughter Joy Zimmerman.

A Memorial Service will be held on July 9th, 2022, at 4:00 pm at the Stevensville SDA Church, Stevensville, Michigan. Cordell’s Cremated Remains will be laid to rest beside Patricia’s Cremated Remains at Keene Memorial Cemetery in Texas, until the Second Coming of Christ. Memorials may be made to any of the following: Campion Academy, Colorado; Stephenville SDA Church, TX; Stevensville SDA Church, MI.
