David H. Bogue, 81, of St. Joseph, MI, formerly of Brook, IN, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Hanson Hospice.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 11AM, at Niles Avenue Baptist Church, 1301 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, MI, with Pastor Michael Willis officiating. Friends may visit with David’s family on Saturday, from 10AM until the time of service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Nile Avenue Baptist Church, 1301 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. David was born on July 24, 1941, to Harold & Dorathy (Hodd) Bogue in Watseka, IL. He graduated from Watseka High School. David worked for E J & E Railroad in Joliet, IL for over 35 years until his retirement. On April 6, 1968, David married the love of his life Linda Foss in Hammond, IN.
David was a member of Niles Avenue Baptist Church in St. Joseph, MI, and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan.
David is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Bogue; children, Cynthia (Joe) Vojvoda of Minooka, IL and Timothy (Vanessa) Bogue of St. Joseph, MI; grandchildren, Joey & Jennifer Vojvoda, Michaela, Greg, Amber & Dylan Bogue, and Julie Ann, Jenna & Lucas McClure; siblings, Dennis (Lynda) Bogue of Normal, IL and Rochelle (Gary) Schultz of Almond, WI.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Dorathy Bogue.
