David's Obituary
David H Holmes, born on March 21, 1948, in South Haven, passed away on June 1, 2025, in Pullman, at the age of 77.
He is survived by his children, Lisa Nelson, Nathan Holmes, Shane Harsch, Michael Thompson-Holmes, and Starr Long. David is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his beloved father, John Wesley Holmes, his cherished mother Lorna Jean Fellows, brother Randy Holmes, and sister Linda Holtsclaw.
David will be remembered with love by his family and friends, who take comfort in the memories shared together. David’s warmth, humor, and love for his family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His generosity will never be forgotten.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. at Filbrandt Chapel, 1076 S Bailey Ave, South Haven, MI 49090. Pastor Eric Jarvis will officiate. Military Honors will be accorded to David following the Memorial service. David will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery on Thursday July 3, 2025 at 3 p.m.
