David's Obituary
David A. Versaw, 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Austin, TX on October 9, 2025.
He was born on June 8, 1965, in St. Joseph, MI. He is survived by his mother Hilde Boozer, stepmother Jan Versaw, brother Keith (Kim) Versaw, James (Amy) Versaw and two stepbrothers Mike and Mitch Boozer. David was preceded in death by his father George Versaw and stepfather Tom Boozer.
After graduation from St. Joseph High Schol in 1983 David enlisted in the Army and served for 2 ½ years in Texas. He was employed by American Airlines in Austin, Texas for 38 years and was a respected and valued employee at the AA Terminal in Austin. His job and coworkers were very important to him and a big part of his life. He studied Martial Arts in Austin, achieving his Black Belt and later teaching self-defense classes.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday November 8, 2025, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Saturday at the Funeral Home. An inurnment will take place at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph at a later date.
