Dawn M. Mendoza, 61, of Dowagiac, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 13, 2025.
Dawn was born on January 11, 1964, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Surviving are five children, Cheyenne (John) Gipson, Ruby (Derron Smith) Tuesdae, Summer (Jason) King, Angeline (Fernando) King, and Dakota (Satina) Collett; nine grandchildren, Jenica, Clarissa, Jay, Mafi, Alena, Momo, Bitty, Jackson and Jayden; four siblings, Carl Jacobs, Jackie Jacobs, Shelly Jacobs and Forrest Sierminski; aunt, Sheila (Dave) Moffitt; three uncles, Alan Jacobs, Dale McBride and Ricky McBride; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Cornelia Bush-Sierminski; father, Jack Jacobs; two sons, Jack Sierminski and Kelly Case; and significant others, Kelly Case and Jose Ojeda.
A service to celebrate Dawn’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 20, at Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center St, Dowagiac, where friends may visit with his family from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
