Debra Diane Tipton, 72, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Corewell Health Lakeland, St. Joseph, with her family by her side.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Scott Saylor officiating. Debbie was born on December 24, 1951, to Paul and Opal (Quertermous) Jackson in Benton Harbor. She attended Benton Harbor High School. On January 1, 1968, she married the love of her life, Wayne Tipton. Debbie was a beloved waitress at the Point of Woods Country Club, dedicating over 20 years of service. Debbie was a devout wife, mother, and grandmother, always placing her family first and cherished time spent with them above all else.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne Tipton; son, Tony (Tiffany) Tipton; grandsons, Casey (Izzy) Tipton and Hunter Tipton; great-grandchildren, Landon and Sidaley Tipton and sister, Fay (Charlie) Mott. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Opal Jackson and sister, Jean (Pee Wee) Ellis.
