Delores's Obituary
Delores Louise Rogalski, 74, of Bridgman passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at her home in Bridgman. She was born December 5, 1948 in Benton Harbor, MI to Clyde and Caroline (Ertman) Fisher.
The family will receive guests from 6-8 pm on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am, Friday, March 24, 2023 at the funeral home with Steve and Karen Dye officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Sodus. Memorial contributions may be given to the Northwestern Memorial Foundation, www.giving@nm.org.
Delores was a woman to admire; for her strength, faith, and perseverance, her forgiving nature, and her willingness to enjoy every moment of life. Her prayers were answered when she received a heart transplant 17 years ago which allowed her more time to live the life she dreamed of. For her, that meant spending as much time with her family as possible. Christmas Eve dinner was her most special tradition where the family would gather to enjoy her lovingly prepared four-course meal that was cooked to perfection. She also loved checking off “bucket list” items with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, canning vegetables from her garden, planting beautiful flowers every spring, and reading. Delores lived her truth; the most important thing in life was to trust in the Lord and love unconditionally.
Delores will be dearly missed by her daughters, Tracy (Eric) Olson, and Kathy (the late Gary) Terry; her grandchildren, Maddey and Marcus Olson, and Taylor Terry; and her siblings, Ruth Shuler (the late Lee), Clyde Fisher (Pattie), Vern Fisher (Elva), and Tom Fisher (Rhonda); many nieces and nephews, friends and former husband and friend, Larry.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Boakes; her son-in-law, Gary Terry; and her parents.
