Deloris was a coal miners’ daughter, straight out of the mountains of West Virginia. She worked the fields; she was a hard worker. Deloris was widowed at a young age and worked many jobs to raise her 5 children on her own. She worked in factories, held customer service jobs. She went back to school and received a BS in teaching and then became the manager of a daycare. Deloris was very strong-willed, set in her ways, but a great cook. She was a very dedicated member of First Freewill Baptist Church. Deloris had a fierce love of God and her family; those were the two most important things in her life. She will be deeply missed.
