Diane Marie Baker, 76, of Dowagiac, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Diane’s Celebration of Life Service will take place at 1:00 P.M., Monday, March 23, 2026, at Heritage Chapel, Starks Family Funeral Homes, Berrien Springs, with her son, Gary Baker, officiating. Those wishing to share a memory of Diane online may do so at www.heritage-chapel.com.
Diane was born January 7, 1950, in Baroda, to Robert and Rayella (Davis) Riske. She graduated from Lakeshore High School and earned her cosmetology license. Diane worked as a hairdresser for over thirty years and after retirement, began driving for Berrien Bus.
Diane loved raising her sons and was known by them and others as a wonderful cook. Marrying Tom Baker, July 3, 1986, their beautiful family continued to grow and precious memories made.
Diane was preceded in death by her son – Jeffrey Lakey; parents – Robert and Rayella Riske; and brother – Robert Riske Jr.. She is survived by her husband – Tom Baker; sons – James Lakey, Gary Baker and Nicholas Baker; several grandchildren and great – grandchildren; and sisters – Sandra (Michael) Nitz and Cheryl (Mark) Tollas.
