Diane Marie Morris (Persicke), 81, of Stevensville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her husband.
Born on December 7, 1944, Diane lived a life defined by devotion to her husband, her children, her family, and the simple but beautiful things that made a house a home. She was a loving and faithful wife to Jimmy A. Morris, who survives her. Jimmy shared that Diane “always did everything for me,” a simple statement that captures the quiet, steady love she poured into her marriage every single day. She will be deeply and forever missed by him.
Diane was a devoted mother. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Shannon A. Morris, and is survived by her daughter, Ellen M. Franklin, who carries forward her mother’s strength and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie Sando and Wayne Persicke, as well as her brothers Allen W. Persicke, Andrew Sando, and Pete Sando SR. She is survived by her brothers Darren Persicke and Dale Persicke, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who were touched by her kindness.
Diane dedicated her life to her home and family as a homemaker. Though she may not have held a title outside the home, her work within it built a legacy of love, stability, and care that will endure for generations. She had a special gift for nurturing whether tending her beautiful flower gardens, caring for her four cherished dogs, or enjoying the birds she loved to watch. Her yard was often in bloom, a reflection of the gentle and steady care she gave to everything entrusted to her.
Those who knew Diane knew her as a loving wife, a great mother, and an amazing woman who cared deeply for the people in her life. She gave freely of herself and found joy in serving those she loved.
