Douglas A. “Doug” Daniels, 52, of Bridgman, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Hanson Hospice Center.
Doug was born on June 17,1970, in St. Joseph to Paul & Jane (Smith) Daniels. He graduated from Bridgman High School. He then moved to Tennessee for a brief period of time but then found himself back in southwest Michigan. Doug was a man with many skills working in many different industries such as taxidermy, landscaping and for Jimmy Dean Co.
Doug was an avid hunter and angler. He also enjoyed volunteering in the pits at the Michigan International Speedway. Doug was a member of Lakeside Family Church, Ducks Unlimited and Sons of the American Legion.
Doug is survived by his nephews & niece, Paul (Marc) Cunnington, Brian Daniels and Shelbi Daniels; and special friends, Scott & Laurie Hanson, Mike Kolaskey, Lynn Lerke and a special sister, Cindy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Daniels and Jane Clifton, and siblings, Linda Daniels-Cunnington and David Daniels.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2PM, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Pastor Chris Peddie officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1PM until time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hanson Hospice Center, 4382 Cleveland Ave, Stevensville, MI 49127 or Lakeside Family Church, 6999 Red Arrow Hwy, Stevensville, MI 49127.
