Eldon's Obituary
Eldon Geyer, 80, of Benton Harbor, MI formally of Coloma passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 29, 2024 at The Chapel, 4250 Washington Ave., St. Joseph, MI with Pastor Philip Bubar officiating. Friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Thursday at the church. Burial will be held at 3:00 P.M., on Thursday at Kniebes Cemetery in Coloma. Memorials may be made to Hanson Hospice Center. Eldon was born December 29, 1943 in Saginaw, MI to Ruben & Elsie (Bickel) Geyer. He graduated from Frankenmuth High School in 1962. In 1981 he received his Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University then continued his education receiving his masters in 1985. On March 9, 1968 he married Sherry Bookout in Lansing, MI. Eldon worked 39 years in Radiology Management with Lakeland Health Systems. He was the President of the Michigan Society of Radiologic Technologist District six times. The President of Michigan Society of Radiologic Technologist State in 1999 and Michigan Society of Radiologic Technologist of the year in 2000. In his spare time, he enjoyed rooting for the Detroit Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and especially Michigan State University.
Eldon is survived by his wife Sherry Geyer; daughter Wendy (John) Wiley; son Eric (Nancy) Geyer; and grandchildren Liesel Geyer and Tressa Geyer;
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Barbara Haines, Lewis Geyer and Bernice Beyerlein.
