Eleanor Willis, 101, of St. Joseph passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at CrownPointe of Stevensville.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Memorials may be made to Corewell Health Hospice. Those wishing to share a memory of Eleanor online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com
Eleanor was born August 11, 1923 in Benton Harbor, MI to Adolf & Natalie (Freier) Stubalt. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1941. On October 26, 1946 she married Robert “Bob” Willis in Benton Harbor. Eleanor was a Founding Member of North Lincoln Baptist Church in St. Joseph where she served as a Deaconess, taught Sunday School and Bible School, and served on various church committees. Her church membership was later transferred to Oakridge Baptist Church in St. Joseph. Eleanor was also an avid reader.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter Linda (Daniel) Ferguson; son Jeff (Sherry) Willis; three grandchildren Matthew Ferguson, Rachel (Jason) Frank and Blair (Stephanie) Willis; four great grandchildren Jezelle (Malachi) Quakkelaar, Celeste Frank (fiancé Ethan Knoth), Delaine Frank and Neveen Frank; and great great grandsons Arrow Quakkelaar and his baby brother on the way.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
