Eric's Obituary
Eric O. Richardson, of Decatur, went to be with his Lord on April 17, 2026. He was born March 17, 1959 in Watervliet to Elmer O. and Maxine Richardson.
Eric was a man who truly lived life to the fullest and often expressed how blessed he felt. He had a deep love for adventure and a special place in his heart for the UP. So strong was that love that Eric became a pilot, allowing him to reach the remote destination more easily and enjoy the place that brought him so much joy.
Eric is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth A. Richardson, whom he married on July 18, 1981 in Tennessee; his sons, Joshua D. (Maegen) Richardson, and Patrick A. (Nicole) Richardson; his grandchildren, Elijah, Ezra, and Elias; and his step-brothers, Max Daniels, and Paul Daniels.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Per Eric’s request, interment will be held privately.
