Eva's Obituary

Eva M. Howard, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at her home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adult Congenital Heart Association. Those wishing to send a condolence online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.

Eva was born on October 15, 1947, to Rosario and Evelyn (DiFelice) Quatrochi in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from Rich Township High School, Park Forest, IL. and then went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree from Wayne State University. Professionally, Eva worked as a microbiologist for over forty years, most recently serving at Spectrum Health Lakeland, St. Joseph. She enjoyed reading and loved going to Lions Park Beach in St. Joseph. Eva was an avid volunteer, anything from nursing home birthdays to sorting donated goods. She sang in choirs at St. Mark Catholic Parish, Niles and St. Pius X Catholic Church in Granger. Eva was always happy, upbeat and would have a laugh or giggle to share with you. Most of all, she loved her family and cherished time spent with them.

Eva is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (William) Hockenhull of Hartford, CT and Elizabeth “Lisa” (Paul) Drenth of Indian Trail, NC; grandchildren, Catherine Hockenhull, Olivia Hockenhull, Silas Drenth and Daphne Drenth; brother, Rosario (Sherry) Quatrochi; sister-in-law, Natalie Quatrochi and special friend, Marcia Bowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosario and Evelyn and brother, Carmen Quatrochi.
