Evelyn Elaine Darnell 83, of Buchanan, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at home with her family by her side.

Evelyn was born on March 4, 1943, to Vaughn and Mary (Hittle) Weaver in Niles. She graduated from Buchanan High School in 1961. Evelyn furthered her education through Ivy Tech Community College where she earned an associate degree in accounting. She also obtained her real estate license.
On July 4, 1970, she married Bobby J. Darnell in Buchanan.
She had a passion for genealogy and enjoyed needle crafts. Above all, Evelyn was deeply devoted to her family. They were the center of her world, and she loved them dearly. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time outdoors, particularly trips up north or to Tennessee with family.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (James) Caes of Dayton, OH and Susie Darnell of Buchanan, MI; grandchildren, Tanner Darnell, Kyle Darnell, Anna Caes, Caitlin Caes, Isabel Caes, Meielena Caes and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn and Mary Weaver; husband of 31 years, Bobby Darnell and sisters, Pat Cowles and Mike (Arvelle) Armstrong.
