Gaylon “Direl” Jackson, 82, of Eau Claire, MI, passed away on Thursday morning, September 19, 2024, in Niles, MI.
He was born on March 16, 1942, in Agnos, Arkansas, the son of the late Hubert and Ora (Moore) Jackson. Direl was a veteran of the United States Army honorably serving his country for 4 years. He was the owner/operator of Jackson Tire Co. in Dowagiac, which he started in 1982, until his retirement in 2010.
Surviving are two daughters – Angela (Danny) Jackson and Stephanie (Ron) Beebe; five grandchildren – Justin (Nycolle) White, Austyn Jackson, Ronni (Matthew Dodd) Beebe, Darrell Jackson and Christopher Jackson; several great-grandchildren; two brothers – Doyle (Jean) Jackson and Dale Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son – Darrell Jackson; grandson – Jordan White; and two brothers – Ray Jackson and Eule Jackson.
