George's Obituary
George Prior Williamson, 81, of Paw Paw, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2024 in Kalamazoo, MI.
George’s family will receive guests at Heritage Chapel, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, MI from 9am until time of procession to Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, 61453 M-51, Niles, MI for a funeral service at 10am, Saturday, April 6, 2024, Pastor Derek Cromwell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church of Berrien Springs, 209 N. Cass St., Berrien Springs, MI 49103.
George was born March 25, 1943 in Buchanan, MI to Joseph and Georgetta (Schoenemann) Williamson. After his high school graduation in 1961, he met and married Karen Adams on May 30, 1965 in Ft. Sheridan, IL. George held various jobs throughout his life, but enjoyed working and volunteering after retirement. He was an avid builder, and enjoyed repair work. George appreciated vintage cars and trucks, and took a liking to auto racing. In his spare time, you could find George out in the garden, woodworking in the shop, or out on the lake fishing.
George will be missed dearly by his daughter, Donna Williamson; his beloved grand dog; his siblings, Betty Best, and Raymond Williamson; and many other extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Karen L. Williamson; his siblings, Violet Burkey, and Shirley Moore; and his parents.
