Grace's Obituary
Grace Ann Fradette, Nee Sips, 87, of New Buffalo, MI, passed away on Friday – February 13, 2026 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Grace was born at home in New Buffalo on March 25, 1938 to the late Edward and Lucy (Nemecek) Sips, Sr.
Grace lived the majority of her life in New Buffalo and worked for many years at Heppler’s Grocery on Whittaker Street. Countless families knew Grace’s sunny personality at Heppler’s. She loved gardening, dancing and playing cards. Grace will be missed by her family and many friends.
Grace is survived by her sister Carol Wold and Brother Edward Sips; Niece – Kathleen Wold; Nephew – John Wold and other Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Lucy Sips, Sr.; her twin sister – Gail Loring Trusha; sister – Ellen Sips; and nephews James Wold, Albert Loring, Jr. and Charles Loring, Sr.
Grace’s family will have a private service and interment at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo, MI, with Father Basker Lopez officiating.
