Mr. James Max Partrick, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in St. Joseph.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 4 at 10:00 am at First Church of God, 2627 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, MI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 9:00 – 10:00 am. Jim was born on October 20, 1943 to Max and Margaret (Schoof) Partrick in Pontiac, MI. On August 8, 1964, Jim married his high school sweetheart, Donna Martin, and the two celebrated 61 wonderful years of marriage.
Jim worked as an independent insurance agent, retiring in 2008 after 30 years. He enjoyed cycling and quilting with Donna. Jim’s passion in life was woodworking. He was incredibly talented and made numerous beautiful creations, including a carousal organ with functional organ music and several pieces of furniture for his and Donna’s home.
Jim will always be remembered by his wife, Donna; sisters, Trish Boyd, Liz (Bob) Frary, and Barb (Dan) Mahoney; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Janie Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Max Boyd; great-nephew, Jeremiah Sypula; and brother-in-law, Bill Martin.
