Jamie M. Wilson, 49, a lifelong resident of Dowagiac, passed away on Saturday morning, July 26, 2025, at The Timbers of Cass County.
She was born on January 22, 1976, in Dowagiac, the daughter of James and Evelyn (Chandler) Elkins. Jamie attended Dowagiac Schools and earned an Associate degree in Liberal Arts from Lake Michigan College. On October 7, 1995, she was united in marriage to Harold Wilson III.
Jamie enjoyed reading and writing poetry. She loved drama and acting and was in many productions of the years. Jamie had a strong love of animals and was always willing to help a stray in need.
Surviving are her daughter, Katherine Wilson; mother, Evelyn Elkins; father, James Elkins; sister, Shannon Elkins; aunts and uncles, Julie Aguilar, Erma Johnson, Rhonda Weaver, Ralph Elkins, Joe Elkins, Diane (Clyde) Bockelman, and Joe Mortimore; and several cousins and extended family.
Preceding her in death were two aunts, Faith Mortimore, and Joi Parr.
