Janet D. Bogart, 83, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at home with her family by her side.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at First Church of God, 708 S. George St., Decatur, MI, with Pastor Mike Heflin officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Cemetery, Decatur. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 am also at church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newell Chapel, Decatur. Janet was born on May 5, 1939 to Clyde and Lilly Martin in Little Rock, AR. She married Gene Bogart, he preceded her in death in 2003. Janet was an incredibly strong woman who always put her family first. She cherished her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and always supported them no matter what.
Janet is survived by her children, Jim (Karla) Baker; Timothy Bogart; Tammy (Dennis) Pickens and Clyde (Katina Williams) Bogart; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Lilly Martin; husband, Gene Bogart; sister, Dorothy and brother, William.
