Janet's Obituary
Janet Wolff, 80, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at her home in St. Joseph. She was born September 10, 1942 in Wolf Lake, IN to William and Margaret (Franks) Hunter.
The family will receive guests from 6-8pm, Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Visitation will resume from 10am until time of prayer service at 11am, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the funeral home, Deacon Ed Nickel officiating. Interment will be held privately. The family has requested that cash or checks be given to the Lakeshore Volleyball Booster Club in memory of Janet, c/o Lakeshore High School, 5771 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville, MI 49127.
Janet was a quintessential family woman. She never missed an opportunity to be present and supportive at her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s events. Janet loved sports, but she also had many other hobbies that she had an incredible talent for. Her family will always remember and cherish the items that were sewn, stitched, and created with love. It was with this compassionate kindness, Janet cared for all those around her, whether it was sewing drapes for her family, cooking a delicious meal, or baking her famous pies. Forever the amazing Meemaw/MeMe…she will be dearly missed.
Janet is survived by her children, Barb Antonucci, Brian (Jill) Wolff, and Brook (Justin) Arney; her grandchildren, Brice (Amanda) Wolff, Brad Wolff, Matthew Antonucci, Sarah Antonucci, Emerson Wolff, Grace Antonucci, Sumner Wolff, Maggie Arney, and Kaitie Arney; her great grandchildren, Brianna, Blake, and Gabriella; and her siblings, Marilyn (Wayne) Eash, and Nelson (Carol) Hunter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Wolff, whom she married February 10, 1962; her son, Bruce “Wolffie” Wolff; her siblings, Jerry Hunter, Phil Hunter, and Nina Baker; and her parents.
