Jared's Obituary
The oldest of two children, he was born on June 30, 1990 to John and Jean (Harris) Tuszynski in LaPorte, Indiana. He grew up in the small town of Bridgman, Michigan with his younger sister, Taylor, who he absolutely adored and was always proud to call his sister.
He loved his hometown, the close group of friends he grew up with, and was a loyal friend to many over the years. He would joke that he was raised on the "mean streets of Bridgman" and was proud of his roots and the simple pleasures that came along with small town living.
He moved to Florida in his adult life, but Southwest Michigan always had a way of calling him back home. No matter where he lived, making new friends came easy to him. Although he experienced his share of setbacks and challenges over the years, he always managed to get back up and find a path forward, inspired to "make the comeback greater than the setback."
He never met a room full of people he didn't like and was quite a “people person”. He found great joy in making people laugh, friends and strangers alike. It was his super power! He would crack jokes left and right, anytime, anyplace. He loved his family dearly, even if he drove them crazy from time to time. He liked cruising around, listening to rap music and had a soft spot for animals. He was always up for a good time!
Jared leaves behind his loving family; his parents, John and Jean; his sister, Taylor (Ben Alexander); his grandmothers, Lynda Ferry, and Pat Harris; and aunts, uncles and many cousins. Those who passed before him include his grandparents, Glen Harris, Jocelyne and Joe Oslakovic, and Tom Ferry; his uncle, Mark Tuszynski; and his cousin, Jason Brower.
A memorial gathering for Jared will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm with a 6:00 pm celebration of life at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd. Saint Joseph, Michigan 49085. A private burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo, Michigan.
