Johnboy's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of John Edgar "Johnboy" Davis Sr. John passed away unexpectedly at the age of 49 at his home in Niles Michigan on the night of May 4th, 2024.
He was born on August 19, 1974, in Niles Michigan to Ray and Donna (Lowery) Davis. John spent much of his life learning everything he could, becoming a master of a lot of trades, or so it seemed. He did everything from fiberglass to auto repair, to roofing, building pole barns with family, plumbing and concrete work. But he always prided himself on the work he did on custom paint jobs on cars that won trophies, awards, and made front page on magazines. When John wasn't working he loved drawing pictures, tattoos and using his artistic skills on many projects. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends (though he always viewed his friends as family).
John was preceded in death by stepfather, Rod Hillman; sister, Tina Renea Davis; and best friend James Jarman.
He is survived by his fiancé Yahiara Muniz (his hot tamale); mother, Donna Davis (Bill Phillips); father, Ray Davis (Sue Davis); brothers, Adam Ewing (Brandi Stephens-Ewing), Jeremy Baird (Emily Thomas); sister, Jennifer Baird and her four sons DaJaun, Payton, DiaJon and DaJaun Jr.
John is also survived by his own four sons, John Edgar Davis Jr. (Aryanna Schoemann), Dakota (Shyann Lipponen) Davis - mothered by Wendy Timmons; and Colton and Dylan Davis - mothered by Marla Burrows; four grandchildren and a ton of extended family.
"Johnboy" left this world way too soon. He was deeply loved by so many and will be missed by all who he held dear. We love you John Edgar, may you rest in peace and find happiness in the heavens.

Through the years, John has done a lot of stuff he should not have done. We all have our funny stories about that. Leaving you to remember those thoughts until we see you at his celebration of life gathering. Being held on May 18th, 2024 (his mother’s home) at 1016 Ferry St. Niles, Michigan, from 1 to 8 pm. Seating is limited, so please bring chairs to sit in. There will be food and drinks available.
