John's Obituary

John Schram II, 85, of St. Joseph, MI, passed away Wed., February 16, 2022 at Spectrum Health in St. Joseph.

John was born February 3, 1937 in St. Joseph to Dr. John Schram, a well-known physician in town, and Cecelia Eisenhart Schram. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1955 and received an MBA from Indiana University.

John proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 until 1962. He worked at Whirlpool, Heath/Zenith, and Meijer Corp. He had many interests and generously gave his time participating in the vestry at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church and serving as a board member at the Southwestern Symphony Orchestra and the Krasal Art Center.

John is survived by his children Kathleen Schram, Marie Schram (Chris) Homer, John Schram III, and Robert (Abbey) Schram., and his grandsons Christopher and Andrew Homer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Schram.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Fri., June 17, 2022 at Riverview Cemetery, 2925 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085, followed by a reception at St. Augustine’s, 1753 Union Ave., Benton Harbor, MI 49022.
