Josh's Obituary
Joshua Robert Wiles, 37 of Decatur, Michigan passed away unexpectedly in his home. Josh was born November 8th, 1988 in Kalamazoo, Mi, to Timothy and late Deborah (Rotach) Wiles.
Josh was a 2008 graduate of Decatur High School and later attended Northern Michigan University. Josh could be the most stubborn guy you’d meet, but those who were lucky to call him a friend knew he had a heart of gold and would help you out in pinch. He was a jack of all trades and if he didn't know, he spent the time researching it.
If Josh wasn't working, he could be found with his family, outdoors, or probably on lake with his buddy, Izzy. He was an avid outdoorsman with a huge passion for fishing. He was a chicken and duck-hobby farmer. He loved his cat, Furnando, the Cubs, and had a “love/hate relationship” with Da Bears! He was the go-to person for advice on camping in Michigan and loved to plan his next camping/fishing/hunting trips from Colorado, Wilderness, or an off the grid gem!
He had set his heart on visiting every National Park and one day retiring on 100-acre homestead in the U.P.
Josh is survived by his father, Timothy Wiles of Decatur, MI; his sisters, Samantha (Justin) Miller of Etna Green, IN, and Chelsea (Aharon) Hull of Mishawaka, IN.
Josh is proceeded in death by his mother, Deborah Leona (Rotach) Wiles; his brother, Timothy Morgan Wiles II; and his grandparents, Bob and Louise (Liles) Rotach, and Lowell and Carol (Schonbock) Wiles.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Josh’s memory can be given to National Park Services, www.nps.gov or The Nature Conservatory of Michigan, www.nature.org/michigan. Interment will be held privately. A celebration of life will be held privately at a later date.
