Juan's Obituary
Juan G. Diaz-Baltierra, Sr., 63, of St. Joseph, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Spectrum Health Lakeland, St. Joseph.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 pm on Friday, September 23, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-3 pm also at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, September 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., St. Joseph. Juan was born on November 3, 1958, to Baltazar Diaz and Teresa Baltierra in Uriangato, Mexico. Professionally, Juan served as a veterinarian for over twenty years in Mexico. On July 29, 1995, he married Elena Martinez-Gonzalez in Mexico. Juan enjoyed reading, watching sports, traveling and loved animals. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his friends and family.
Juan is survived by his wife of 27 years, Elena Diaz; children, Juan Diaz-Martinez, Jr., Emiliano Diaz-Martinez, Erick Diaz-Martinez and sisters, Graciela Diaz-Baltierra and Elva Diaz-Baltierra. He was preceded in death by his parents, Baltazar and Teresa and brother, Jaime Diaz-Baltierra
