Judy's Obituary
Judith Ann Paul Bellaire, 83, of Buchanan, Michigan, passed away on November 16, 2022 at Tiger Lily Estates, in Cartersville, Georgia.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1-3 pm on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan. Inurnment will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Memorial contributions in Judy’s name may be made to the Buchanan Garden Club. Arrangements have been entrusted to Swem Chapel, Buchanan. She is survived by her son, Paul (Christine) Bellaire of Lutz, Florida, granddaughters Allison, Makenna, and Kylie Bellaire, and sister Donna (Edward) Toner of Acworth, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Kathleen (Bowker) Paul.
Judy was born on May 28, 1939. She graduated from Buchanan High School in 1957. Judy continued her education through art school in Chicago, Illinois, and then went on to receive a degree in education from Western Michigan University. She was retired from teaching 2nd grade at Ottawa School in Buchanan, and furthered her education, earning three Master’s degrees.
She spent her 83 years in Buchanan, the town that she loved. Judy was an active member of Buchanan Garden Club, and her favorite pastime was tending to her beautiful gardens. She was an avid reader and frequent visitor to the library. She also enjoyed golf, traveling and having fun times with her sister, Donna.
Being with her grandchildren was time she always cherished.
Judy’s sense of humor, love of life and her beautiful smile will be missed by her many dear friends, family, and all who knew her.
