Kathryn had a vibrant spirit and found joy in life; soaking up the sunshine, slipping into a pair of fancy shoes, wearing a fancy hat, or dancing. She loved mushroom hunting, anything pink and you would never see her without her purse. Kathryn cherished her nickname, “Baber”, lovingly given to her by her Grandpa Mosher.
A woman of faith, Kathryn attended Lester Sumrall Evangelistic Church in South Bend, now Christ Chapel. She found peace in reading her Bible and comfort in Gospel music. She also enjoyed Bingo and card games. Most of all, Kathryn treasured being a mother.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Melissa Vylonis; granddaughters, Harper Bennett and Hattie Bennett; brothers, John (Nancy) Vylonis, Mark (Karen) Vylonis and sister, Kara (Pat) Shelton. She was preceded in death by her father, John C. Vylonis; mother, Louise (Mosher) Thumm; brother, Mike Vylonis and sister, Lynne Garrison.
