Kenneth Eugene Ridgeway, 94, of Stevensville, MI, passed away on Monday – March 31, 2025, at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel – 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI.
Kenneth was born on Jan. 26, 1931 in Marshall County, IN to the late Ralph and Velda (Warner) Ridgeway.
Kenneth served his country while first in the U.S. Navy and then the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War. On June 14, 1958 in Benton Harbor, MI he married Janet Jean Gustine; she preceded him in death on April 20, 2023.
Kenneth was a life-long member of the Victory Life Church – formerly known as the Road to Life Church in St. Joseph. He was also a member of the Berrien County Sportsman Club; Kenneth enjoyed flying as a private pilot; was an avid Detroit Lions fan and loved boxing. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family and he will be greatly missed.
Kenneth is survived by his children – Keith (Betty) Ridgeway of Irons, MI, and Mark (Laura) Ridgeway of Ft. Wayne, IN; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter – Susan, and a great grandchild – Sofia, and a sister Maryetta Fowler.
Visitation with the family is on Wednesday – April 9, from 12:00-1:00pm, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service follows at 1:00pm. Burial is at Hickory Bluff Cemetery.
