Kevin's Obituary
Kevin Jeffrey Hartman, 70 of St. Joseph, MI passed away unexpectedly, on January 27, 2025, at his home.
Kevin will be buried at Danville National Cemetery on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:00 with full Military Honors. A Celebration of Life will be held at Catlin American Legion at 3:00 on Friday, May 16, 2025,
Kevin was born to Richard & Linda (Hornbeck) Hartman, on December 5, 1954, in Daneville, Illinois. After graduation from Catlin High School, where he was class president, homecoming king, star running back and a wrestler. After high school he joined the Marines and served for 2 years and 10 months. Kevin learned his first trade as an Electric Equipment Repairman in the service. He spent his career building homes and as an electrician, plumber, leatherworks, metal art and landscaping, a true jack of all trades. He met his fiancé Cathleen Davidson in 2022 and always said” she was the love of his life”.
Kevin will be remembered for his work ethic, his infectious sense of humor, fun, a person who stood by his word, his love for his friends and never meting a stranger.
Kevin survived by his fiancé Cathleen Davidson, Best friend Stanley Mellon, his sister-in-law Donna Hartman, and brother-in-law Ray Mongomery. He was preceded by his brother Jerry Hartman and sister Lana Montgomery.
