Kimberly Anne Wabshall, 66, of New Buffalo, passed away at her home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel – 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Kim was born on August 29, 1956 in Michigan City, IN, to the late John and Anne (Pavur) Wabshall. She was a 1974 graduate of Rogers High School in Michigan City. Kim was a proud member of the New Buffalo American Legion Post #169. Many will remember her as working at Barney’s grocery store in the deli department and as a cashier.
Kim is survived by her brother – John Alan Wabshall, Sr. of Jonesville, MI; nephews – John, Jr. and Zachary; niece – Shannon; and great nieces – Mercedes, Chloe, Sophia and Kaitlyn; and a great nephew – Alex.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday – October 12, 10:30am, at the Sommerfeld Chapel with Father Basker Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in New Buffalo. Visitation with the family is on Tuesday – October 11, from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation or sending a potted plant to be planted in the family garden in Kim’s memory.
