Landen's Obituary

Landen Taggart, an extraordinarily loving and loved 17-year-old, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

Landen was born on February 26th, 2005, in Niles, MI to Randi Taggart and Ryan Heidenreich. It was on that day he changed many lives within his family, simply with his presence. That became a theme in his life as he went on to positively impact more people in 17 years than most could in 80. Landen was well beyond his years with his mentality and wisdom. He was a light when you needed help to see clearly and he was a rock when you just needed someone to be there for you. There are no real words that can describe what he meant to his loved ones. Landen loved video games as most any 17-year-old does, but it was his creativity, dedication, his pursuit of success and his heart that made him stand out. Landen was so very special and will be deeply missed by so many.

Landen is survived by his mother, Randi Taggart and her fiancé Matt Riggs; his father, Ryan Heidenreich; siblings, Lexi Taggart, Lukas Taggart and Lailah Riggs; grandparents, Joni Fester, Pam Heidenreich, Lynn Taggart, Bill and Sue Chapman. As well many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Landen was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alan Taggart.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Calvary Bible Church, 27032 Marcellus Hwy, Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., Dowagiac. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Landen’s name may be made to Celebration Graduation, Class of 2023.
