Zep's Obituary
Lawrence “Zep” Anthony Zeppiero, 78, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2026, at South Haven Hospital. He was born on June 19, 1947 to the late Donald and Lorraine (Hallas) Zeppiero of Chicago. His family had a summer home in South Haven and Larry loved the area. Larry graduated from Brother Rice in Chicago and then trade school. For several years he worked as a pipe fitter/welder.
In 1982, Larry took over D & L Sales when his father passed away. With this business, Larry found his passion in life. He worked there every day. He always had time to talk to his customers.
Larry married his wife, Donna Tollensdorf, in Florida on February 23, 1988. She survives along with his two dogs, Chester and Sagan. Zep loved his dogs. He was also survived by his sister, Suzette Gacek. Also surviving are two nephews, Andrew (Tiffany) and Jonathan (Marlo) Gacek.
Zep enjoyed working, deep-sea fishing, visits to Las Vegas, his dogs, regular visits to Hawkshead and Taste, and talking to his many friends around town.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service planned for a later date after cremation takes place.
