Leeanne's Obituary
Leeanne Schabbel Vochaska, 87, of South Haven passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at her home at River Ridge Retirement Community after a short hospital stay. Leeanne was born October 14, 1935 to Leo and Marion (Guirl) Schabbel of South Haven. Leeanne married Ron Vochaska on January 13, 1954 in South Haven. She passed away on their 69th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her children – Vern (Paula) Vochaska, Jeff Vochaska, and Vicki Vochaska Tripp all of South Haven, and her grandchildren – Alan (Erin) Vochaska, Josh Vochaska Tripp, Caleb Vochaska, and Isabella “Izzy” Vochaska.
Leeanne is preceded in death by her parents and her brother David.
Leeanne was a wonderful friend, Wife, Mother and Grandmother who loved her Doberman Pincer dogs, cats, antiques, knitting, crocheting, quilting, scrap booking, and of course NASCAR racing.
The family would like to thank River Ridge Retirement Village for their loving care over the last 5 years and their love and compassion in keeping her at ease and comfortable as she passed. The family would also like to thank Kindred Hospice and for their love, care and compassion in her final days.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. The family asks that donations to River Ridge Retirement Village be made in Leeanne’s name in lieu of flowers.
